The automation of laboratories is a special type of automation. Time and cost
pressures in this area demand a flexible system to monitor and control the experimental
process.| Fast assembly / reassembly and commissioning using plug connections | |
| Reliable control and monitoring of reactions with integrated management and safe handling of alarms | |
| Simple configuration of the integrated control technology with ready-made, suggested solutions for dosing, tempering or inertization, for example | |
| Simple methods for evaluating measured data using export features, for example, to Microsoft Excel | |
| High reliability with automation |
Processing module
The core of this module is Simatic PCS7 Box as a bundle package with automation,
operator and engineering system. The components are preinstalled and can be
flexibly supplemented with other software packages such as SIMATIC Batch or
SIMATIC PCS7 Asset Management.

2 x 10 / 100 Mbps Ethernet port
2 x USB port for keyboard and mouse
1 x DVI-D for monitor
Input/output module
The input/output module acquires signals from your lab instruments and sends
them to the processing module. The following range of signals are acquired with
the standard configuration:
The Input/Output modules are based on SIMATIC ET 200M and ET 200pro distributed I/O, which can also be integrated directly into the laboratory equipment thanks to its high degree of protection (IP67). Both systems offer numerous channels (analog, binary) and serial interfaces which you can use to easily connect up, for example, scales and agitators. The individual channels are designed as plug-in connections, a feature that greatly simplifies the task of assembling the laboratory setup.8 x analog input (AI) 0(4)..20mA
8 x analog input (AI) 0..10V
4 x PT 100 measurements
8 x analog output 0(4)..20mA
16 x digital input
16 x digital output
2 x serial port (RS 232)
