Operator Station-

Operator Station

The operator system is the human-machine interface of the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system, and at the same time the user's window to the process. The user can monitor, respond and control all processes from here. Operator station are provided as terminals with visualized and predefined user interfaces. The system is optimized for handing large amounts of data. By specifying alarm priorities, a clear overview can be maintained even when the alarm flow reaches high levels. The alarm management of SIMATIC PCS 7 is based on hiding irrelevant messages (alarms) generated by operating state transitions such as the startup of a unit etc. on the operator stations and not the suppression of alarms at the source, i.e. all alarms are logged.

Variable architecture, flexible use
Whether operator stations for single-station systems (OS single stations) or multiple-station systems in client/server architecture – the configuration of the operator system is extremely variable and can be individually adapted to specific branch requirements and plant sizes. The system is suited for use in both office and industrial environments.

Well-designed: The user interface
Well-organized, clear, ergonomic and multilingual: these are the impressions left by the user interface of the operator system. It offers the operator an excellent overview of the entire process and the possibility to open a variety of plant views. This option is supported by the Picture Tree Manager, which organizes the picture tree according to the needs of the user.
